My bassist plays a Peavey Firebass 700 thorugh a Hartke VX4x10. We recently added a 1x15 cabinet to the system because you can hear the bass well enough over the guitars and drums when we play. After about 30 minutes the 15" blew, so now we are in the market for something else. Would it be good to get another 4x10 just like the one we have now, or should we get a 1x15. Also, should we go with Hartke or a different brand? Thanks!

You should figure out *** happened to the 15 and why it blew, and adjust accordingly, before you buy another speaker and cannonball it.
I've played my 15 at ungodly volumes and it didn't blow up...
