Cable for home recording around $50-100

You’re gonna get a lot of answers warning you about “snake oil” marketing cables. That being said, I own 2 Monster Bass cables from 2006 and 2 Mogami cables from 2018 and have never had an issue.
If you really want to spend that much, a 10 foot Mogami Gold cable is top of the line and has a lifetime warranty. For home studio applications, in my opinion it's not worth the extra money on cables. A livewire or proco cable will likely produce the exact same quality for your recordings. It's always nice to have something that will last though...
If you buy expensive cables, it should be for reasons of durability and reliability. Any difference in sound is negligible.

Good luck with that. You are overthinking it. There are so many other things that will impact your tone way more.
You will be surprised how fast that three feet gets used up.
Do yourself a favor. Get a piece of string, cut it to three feet, sit down with the bass and tape it to the bass and interface. see if it is as much of a hinderance as I would expect. The ten foot will give you room to move around, put the bass down, or move it more that just a very small arc as will be provided with the 3’ cable. If the 3’ will work using the above method, then great. If not, you saved yourself some money.
I already have 10-20ft Proel Die Hard cables. I thought I should have also 1 short more hi-end cable.
I have a number of proco cables I bought 30 years ago and have used them countless times for recording. 10 feet or longer. A 3 foot cable will make no measurable difference. Go for 10 feet or so and be done with it. Make sure it’s well shielded, naturally. The only other thing I recommend is gold plated connectors, not because they sound better, but because gold doesn’t tarnish so you will maintain a better contact for longer without maintenance.

You want the 3' cable made from gold strands wrapped with unicorn hair. Best investment you could make if you want high quality recordings. This cable makes me sound like Mark King and Victor Wooten had a three way with Charles Mingus and produced a love child. When I use ordinary cables I sound like Elmer Fudd. You will LOVE this cable!
