Cable tip stuck in input jack. Help!

The other day, I was playing through my Marshall MB15 practice amp, when the tip of the guitar cable I was using detached and got stuck in my amp's input jack.

It is stuck in quite deeply and tightly, so I don't think I will able to remove it without taking the amp apart. I am able to put another guitar cable in as well, and sound can still be transferred through the cable tip, however there is quite loud intermittent hum, and I am concerned that the amp's sound and volume is being negatively affected by this. I've e-mailed Marshall about it, but in the meantime, I'm wondering how significant this issue is, and how easily it can be fixed. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was given a Fender Frontman, little 15 W amp, cost ( not "worth") about $65 cdn. Patchcord would not insert into input jack. Look inside, end of jack still inside. Unscrewed back, pried off plastic cover on jack, inserted metal rod, pushed jack tip out, re-installed back. Took somewhere between 3 and 3 1/2 minutes.If this was a really good amp, I would suck up the minimum bench charge( about $65cdn) and get it done by a tech.It would be really hard to f this up though..Oh, and moral of the story is don't use cheap patchcords, ffs.

I agree take it to a tech and have it fixed since it is closed the glue choice to me sounds like a bad idea and if it goes wrong like it might you may be paying more to get it done.

This method was also suggested to me by a tech, but he added this step- cut off a drinking straw, insert straw into jack, then apply the glue using the straw as a shield to prevent getting glue everywhere.
