cables?

Ok, I bought a new cable-guys cable today and wow, it sounds notably clearer and more defined than my planet waves cable of the same length. Could it be that my old planet waves cable has just worn out, our are cable-guys cables just better?

Could be your ears imagining things. I know I have honeymoon periods with new gear where it sounds better than everything else I own, but once I hear it recorded it usually sounds no different than me playing through any previously owned gear.

That said, Monster (and I believe PW) cables do have a high end cutoff that gives their cables a perceived 'warmer' tone. The cable you bought might not have this same cut off, so it inherently sounds more defined and clear.

Just to be clear, this is not spam, I am in no way affiliated with anyone at all and wish I was. Don't believe newer, check my past posts.

And yes, the new cables just sound a little more defined and open in the top end. I did nit expect to find thisand cable guys cables are hardly high end, but yeah, apparently whatever the reason being that new one sounds better than my old...
