Hi, I don't know if this is the right thread, I have a question: Do you know a luthier in hawaii? I just bought a Cabronita p bass and had this idea to convert it to a 51/54 p bass (atleast aesthetically) drilling the pickguard a metal control plat, (maybe a paintjob too). I could learn to do it myself but being in the military I rarely find time for myself. PM me if you know a good luthier, good price range too.
