Cabs w/ natural sounding top end

Like, "don't put the DI post master volume"?
Ummm, yup.

The Walkabout was trying to get some additional flavor from the tube driver stage, but it turns out that pre-master volume was desired by way more players than the additional tube in the signal path so we changed it on the WD.

I mean, don't get me wrong... the WA DI sounds really good IMO, but it's very impractical for stage use...

Exactly, it's all about making a feature MORE usable to more players. Doesn't matter if it sounds good if it's not practical (especially for live applications)
