Cabs, what's your favorite and why?

The short story is that there is a small consortium of speaker builders/designers (called BigE Speakers) making some radically different (and yes, better sounding IMO) cabinets. Mike Arnopol (MAS) specializes in bass cabs (others specialize in audiophile stuff).

+1 to kesslari's mention of Mike Arnopol's line of Big-E cabs. I've been using an MAS112 cab for gigs for over a half year now, and its performance is amazing. It replaced a pair of Baer ML112s as my gig rig, and relegated a Berg AE212 to rehearsal duty. No shizz! Def worth checking out.

I've always been an 810 guy, but lately a pair of 26 lb. 210 AV's have been working for my 53 year old back. I will say, the GB Shuttle 6.0 and matching 12" cab that was supplied back line recently impressed the hell out of me. Haven't had much experience with 12's nor used any modern 15's, but there are plenty of amazing cabs available today.
Nah, it was a friends I played a few years back. Wish I knew, it sounded cool. Idk if they were bass drivers, but it would sound great as part of a bi-amp rig.
My "favorite" right now is probably my GK Neo 412 powered by my 1977 2nd Gen Sunn Model T.

2x12's - Bergantino IP112+EX112 for a small, tight, and focused mini rig of doom.
(after years of downsizing my rig, I am recently acquiring some larger gear and loving it)
4x10's - Fender Neo cab powered by my Bassman 300 sounds pretty dang good.
2x 4x10's - Fenders Neo cabs also powered by my Bassman 300 gets pretty ridiculous. Like the single 4x10's but....better.
8x10 - Ampeg Fridge powered by my SVT Classic. Having played many backline setups, it's a favorite for sure. I will be receiving delivery of mine tomorrow.
So as far as a favorite, it really depends on the venue and what I can get away with. My Berg 2x12 is probably the most versatile for most scenarios, but the 4x10 has been stealing the spotlight the last couple months.

Favorite 6x10: Owned the Ampeg 610 for a while. Great cab, quite similar to my SWRs tone wise. I wish I would have tried the SWR Goliath Senior

are you sure Ampeg 810 is an average"alone"/not onstage?, IME using it in recording studio, alone, it is 'magic' too.

Haven't tried enough cabs to say, but I prefer my 410 to any 115, 212 or 810 I've used so far. Including the one time I put both my 410s together. I still prefer the one. But I'd sure I could enjoy a 212 if it was the right one, and could probably enjoy a 215, rather than a 115. 2*210s might do me well, too. Especially for portability. I can't ever imagine purposefully buying my own 810, or ever using more than one 810 in any situation. Way more than I'd ever really need. Don't even need a 410 when most of my work in studio. But live, I'm pretty much always DI'd, and have PA to back me up. So it seems unrealistic for me to care about loudness, and instead just on what sounds good to me. My GK/Laney setup has been great for years. Still haven't heard anything I like better.
Favorite 1-15: Eastern Acoustic Works VB125 with EVM 15B Much larger box than most for a deeper tone. My favorite cab when I'm after a "vintage" sound. This plus an A.M.P. BH420 was my go-to amp for 20 years.
Favorite 1-12: Bergantino HT112 I have two, use one most of the time but both when it's a big space and I need more stage volume. Small and relatively light. I like the quick response and smooth mids. Works well with DB which many cabinets (like the EAW) do not.
Other sizes: no preferences.
