Cabs with different resistance paired... maybe.

If I already run a 2x10 400w 8 ohm from a Hartke LH500, and add a 1x15 600w 4 ohm cab (same manufacturer) from the second output jack, I'm still groovy, right? Because that sounds right to me. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on it this weekend.

No, and no. That head won't run them both at the same time (it's below 4Ω), and no it's probably not the best sonic pairing anyway.

A second 8Ω cab identical to the first would both sound better and not stress the head.

if you dig that paticular 2x10 cab, the second one should bring more of everything, including bigger bottom; stack 'em tallways (for a taller, skinnier rig) and you'll be in business.
