I have have a long history with Ibanez basses and it seems that no matter what I do I always have to have a least one in the stable. Even the new stuff, something about them just seems better than other instruments coming out of the same countries and no matter what other basses I play I get more compliments on the Ibanez ones that any of the other ones. Is it wrong???

Mdogs - great to hear from ya!

I was recently noticed that my local store just recently got that bass in stock. I'm naturally curious since I'm planning to buy my first, new, bass guitar.

My preferences are punk, punkrock and rock. It's also crucial that i can use my guitar for soloing purposes(clean, crisp sounds).

What's your insights?

That first picture is actually a SRX3EXQM1 which is my son's. A great playing bass that sounds just awesome, if he didn't love the horrible Brite Flats he has on there, I would be using it myself on a regular bases!

Ibanez makes some great basses. However, I recently tried 2 BTB's at GC. The fret job on both was aweful. The fret wire has cut so poorly that it was slightly wider than the fretboard. I almost sliced my finger playing them.

I have owned several Ibanez basses but currently do not own any. I am looking for another one. In my opinion, their low to mid price basses are the best on the market for the money.
