One thing about the thin PS2 - don't leave it on for days! Apparently there's no internal fan on the thin one... if you play Gran Turismo 4 and race one of those 24 hour endurance races, you may run into some trouble.

heroincredible said:I'd suggest staying away from GTA: San Andreas for a bit...my girlfriend can't stand that game because of the cursing(so I just sneak off and play it).
As for racing games...Midnight Club is pretty good, and Burnout 3 is fun(I'd recommend it).

GTA 3 and Vice City are much better in my eyes.
FunkKing said:I recently played Vice City over a friend's house, and i don't think its nearly as good as San Andreas. The whole scale and size of San Andreas is frankly gobsmacking. Add to that the (almost) non-existent loading times. Plus the awesome tunes.

Midnight Club (X-Box)... I love this game. Stupid easy-like me.
Gran Turismo 3/a Spec... best racing game ever!
Red Dead Revolver... Almost a really good game. Just missed.
Tekken(s)... You've got to try a Tekken! You either love it or ignore it.
Chaos Theory has very intuitive controls so its probably just you being new at it. You can also try Metal Gear Solid series. Start at the first one and make your way to the 3rd one. Excellent series with a storyline better than most movies.NJL said:i rented Chaos Theory and GT 4 last night.... they were OK....i thought Chaos Theory was a little hard to control, but then i'm new to this stuff....
GT 4 was cool....but i need to get a mem. card....
i wanted to get a boxing game so i can legally beat the $*** out of my wife (and be morally sound), but couldn't find it at the rental place...
i'm sure she wouldn't mind pulling a 5 gallon of whoop arse on me...
the only problem is that my dog doesn't have thumbs, so i can't find a suitable controller for him...he's getting jealous....
