does anyone know the measurements of the 3, 5, and 7 piece neck throughs warwick makes? for example, a 5 piece maple (M) and wenge (W) neck is M,W,W,W,M or M,W,M,W,M or what? also, if anyone knows how big those middle pieces are it would be perfect if they could let me know! pics also welcome. thanks! ideally, i would like a flame maple and wenge configuration that comes out to having about 1/2 maple and 1/2 wenge with the maple on the outside and the wenge in the middle.

p.s. is the 3 piece neck even an option? if it is standard, is it possible to get the two wood configuration i want?

p.p.s. i emailed warwick but they didn't answer the question really, and i have sent them another email with a more detailed description of what it is i want to know.

Warwick is bad about answering e-mails, they actually encourage you to call them. One time I called 'em and Dana B. Goods ( the top dawg for warwick USA) picked up the phone. He was actually very helpful. You may want to check their website, lots of specs posted on there.

I've heard that Warwick has changed these types of things over the past 15 years--but that's unconfirmed on my end. However, I can tell you that my '98 Thumb NT 4 is a 5-piece that goes: BWBWB (B=bubinga, W=wenge). My '06 Infinity LTD 4 is a three piece that goes: MMM (maple :) ). My old '96 Fortress went: WWW. I'll have to look at my Thumb BO Broadneck 5 to give you specs on that one.

My '00 corvette std. is OOO being ovankol of course.

I can get out the calipers a bit later and get a pretty decent measurement of each piece of the neck. I believe on vettes that the 3 piece is standard. Next day I'm at the music store I can take a look at some of the wicks we have in there. A few different streamers of different years.
