any body know What the bassist is using on Macho by cameo?

im looking for that fuzzy synthy sound
not Straight up crap your pants BSW synths like soft but slightly ruff around the edges type synth's

I'm not hearing a whole lot on the bass. Maybe a very subtly mixed octaver, but I'm not hearing a synth at all.

That fuzzed out sound is the guitar.

Clean bass, with fuzzed guitar doubling the bass line during the intro and that one break. Try an Akai Unibass and send the effected out through a fuzz, then blend the clean bass with the fuzzed Unibass. I can kind of hear that subtle octaver abark mentioned in the breakdown toward the end.

Really that last bit could be anything. A punch-in, a different eq, stronger attack, studio magic, etc.
