Can’t resist posting my new Sadowsky!

Funkasaurus, that is beautiful. I just got it's cousin two days ago (also from Bass Central). Mine is also the gorgeous Transparent White; but mine has the rosewood fingerboard with the white blocks/binding. Mine also has the VTC already installed.

I've been playing (and loving) Fenders for a long time. But I've gotta' tell you, when I opened that case, I was just stunned by the finish & appearance. Then when I plugged 'er up - wow!

I'm not sure how to post pictures yet. (My son is going to teach me the next time he visits. Yeah, I know. I'm a technological idiot.) But in the interim, if anybody wants to see it, they can check out the Bass Central section of T.B. Unless something changed today, mine is the first Sadowsky listed. It shows as having been received (used) on 12/19/07. I spotted it, then called them the next day. Fortunately, it was still there, so I pulled the trigger. As nice as the pictures look, it looks even better in person. I, too, am looking forward to getting together with my band. We normally take an informal hiatus after the holidays. But I'm sure it will cut through the mix like nothing I've ever had before.

Congratulations Jeff! I LOVE the Transparent White finish. I had the same exact feeling as you when I first opened the case and saw this beautiful instrument.

Can't wait to see your pictures!

Beatiful bass. Just make sure to tell us about Blue Label strings when you get them.

Anyone that's interested in the Blue Label strings should check out this thread:

Another example of why Sadowsky creates such devotion and how they've achieved such success. I'll definitely be posting a review of the Blue Lable strings on that thread as soon as I can.

:smug: Those comments strike a chord :D !

I'm sure you'll find that the matt neck finish goes "gloss", quicker than any other bass you've ever picked up (mine certainly did :hmm:), but it still feels good :smug:.

As for the P/J thang, I know that feeling too :crying:. Sadly, threy're in very short supply in Europe at the moment, so I may have to wait for mine :(.

Anyway, congrats on your purchase - she's a beaut ;)!

Hmmm...that's interesting about the neck finish. How long did that take?

I am really not a style of the Fender stylings of the Jazz and P basses, so the Sadowskys dont do much for me. Tonewise, I understand they sound great, but I cant get past the looks

Cool man! We're all just here to make music, and that's all that matters in the end. Not what tools each of chooses to achieve that goal.

I love the way Warwicks look, but I just feel like I'm at home playing a Fender Jazz style bass.
