Can a SS combo amp be modded to also be a cab, using a switch?

I have a bass combo amp and a bass head. Instead of getting a cabinet. Can my bass amp be modded to have a switch, which bypasses the proper stages to function as a cabinet?

Or instead of a switch, maybe another input jack has to be installed?

This is something I would not do, but instead seek out a pro.

Yes, but if the wiring/switching is done wrong, it will be cheaper to get another cabinet.

Both positive and negative lines must be 100% isolated from the others. No common minus terminals because many amps are not ground referenced and this will destroy the output stage.
