Can anyone here play YYZ note for note?

Note-for-note as on Moving Pictures? No.
On stage as a interlude instead of the bass solo in the Rish song Driven? Yessir.

Have not played it in years, but we played it as the intro to our last set every night for probably 7 years on the road. The key to learning any of Rush's more complex songs is to understand Geddy's playing. Geddy had 5 phases to his playing, Moving Pictures being the end of the 2nd. Knowing Geddy as a player through the albums helps you to learn his redundancies and favorite runs. By learning Geddy as a player through other music, Stuff like La Villa, YYZ, The Trees, Analog Kid, or Vital signs become much more intuitive. Rush Deluxe Anthology is also a good base for Rush sheet music.
I just have problems with the second solo fill. I have a hard time hearing the right notes. Other than that I really enjoy playing it.
For those fills, being in the position on the neck he plays them is actually crucial, the first one is in the 5-7 fret area, I think the long ones are higher up the neck, like 12th fret starting. Even with the E note played on the 12th fret e-string.
there was a point in time at the end of high school, I learned everything from hemispheres to presto note for note. Probably the best thing i ever did to further my playing. would have to re learn it real quick but yeah I can do it. Lots of great tough geddy lines in there. Natural science was a pita too (hand cramps) .

I did the same thing with probably 3/4th Chili Peppers discography at the beginning of highschool. It was so beneficial to be able to get inside the head of a professional and see the bass through their eyes, you know? Dead note placement, improvisational habits, ect. I don't think I could do that with Rush though, that would be difficult.
Nice Joe!! At one time I had transposed most the keys & guitar parts to bass just for fun.
Note for note is kind of hard since the lead breaks are overdubbed & have lapping 1's & 4's. The outro part is a sloppy mess also!
I'll have to give Joe's vid a listen later. I can play the whole thing fairly convincingly except for the short outro riff. Too lazy to learn it. That and the intro to 'limelight.'
That outro riff is just a sloppy pentatonic noodling downwards. the only important note is the last one.
You should start another thread titled "The 5 phases of Geddy Lee." I'd love to read more about that.
When I want to hear YYZ, I put on some Rush.
