Can anyone identify these strings...

La Bella DT54 drop tune strings - as listed on page 17 of the La Bella catalogue. Doesn't specify if they are Hard Rockin, Super Steps, Slappers or Deep Talkin' ..........

Link Removed

I have seen identical gauge strings listed at juststrings but only in the Hard Rockin - short scale variety.

Can anyone shed any light?

I think there are only 2 likely candidates - Hard Rockin' or Slappers.

My evidence for this is that these are the only 2 types of strings listed in the La Bella catalogue that have the drop tune gauges - 54 /75 /90/ 111 (page 30)

I have emailed [email protected] to see if they can shed any information. In the meantime any TB'ers had any experiece with them?

Official email response from La Bella:

The Drop Tune set is similar to the Hard Rockin Steel and is widely accepted as it has real punch!

Subject: Specific string question

I have noticed that you sell a 'Drop Tune' series of strings for Electric Bass (page 17 of La Bella catalogue). Could you tell me what type of string you can get this series in ie... Hard Rockin', Super Steps, Slappers, Deep Talkin'.

Many thanks,
Cieran
