Can anyone recommend strings for Guild Starfire II bass?

So, based on the first page and a half of this thread, I put Pyramid Gold short scale flats on my ‘68 Starfire II. I would say those strings delivered as advertised. High-ish tension, even response and smoothness throughout the entire range of the instrument, Classic Starfire growl. Very comfortable to play at gigs. Well, for a lark I changed to TI flats, and these strings allow for more “wood character” to come through. I wouldn’t call them better than the Pyramids, but they feel less tense under my fingers and thus respond more when I dig in, thus slightly more round wound character to the notes if you will.

As a player, you can’t go wrong with either set of strings.
