If you're talking about Acousticorres on an ABG, read up on them before dropping the coin.
Since my post upthread, La Bella has introduced their 760FGS (Deep Talkin' Bass Gold Flats, Standard gauge) set:

They appear to also have magnetically-active inner windings, since they work on electrics with only some reduction in volume according to reports. More to the point, they don't seem to have been designed with acoustic bass guitars in mind: the goal seem to be a specific take on vintage electric bass tone, which points to them be potentially underwhelming, in cut-through-ness, when used on an ABG. (Basically, the only nod to acousticness would be the outer winding material being bronze.) However, I have seen exactly zero reports of players relaying their experience with the 760FGS on either unplugged or piezoed aboustic bass guitar (only one TB member reporting that the tone, on a regular electric, had a vaguely acoustic air to them, whatever that meant), so no pudding to find proof in yet. Finally, they come in strictly one-size-fits-only-some.
