Can I match this head and cab?

Hey, I am somewhat new to matching heads and cabs as I have been playing combo's my whole life. I asked at my local music store and they said it was relatively simple, they explained that I should usually plug in a 4ohm head to a 4ohm cab, match the input/output. But could I get away with matching a 4ohm head with a 8 ohm cab?

So the cab is rated at 200watts @ 8ohms and the head is 400watts @ 4ohms. If I connect them and play I am not going to start a fire am I?

That will work just fine.

Heads will have a minimum load (4 ohms or 2 ohms), and you shouldn't go under that.

Cabs will generally be rated at either 8 ohms or 4 ohms. If your head's minimum load is 4 ohms, you can use one 4 ohm cab or two 8 ohm cabs.

Since the Eden's minimum load is 4 ohms, and the Hartke cab you want is 8 ohms, you may add an additional second cab to the Eden head if you like.

That is correct. You can run one 4 ohm, one 8 ohm or two 8 ohm cabs and be totally fine.

You CANNOT run two 4 ohm cabs with that head. Also, you cannot run one four ohm and one 8 ohm cab at the same time.
