Can I plug a Keyboard to my Bass Amp?

Our keyboardist left so now I have to play the piano and split the keyboard to play Bass with my left hand piano with my right but we don't have a good PA so I'm thinking to hook my keyboard to my rig in order to get a nice bass sound....

Will this damage the bass amp ?

Yes, you can do this.

Watch the volume when you first try it (keys will probably be hotter than bass), and use the same cautions regarding overexcursion or excess volume as you normally would.

No. The bass amp will cause you to be 27 cents sharp.

No problem. Bass amps can do a pretty decent job on keyboards and acoustic guitar.

Just be aware that nice "fat" sounding bass patches often have voices that can go all the way down to C -2 w/a typical 61 note keyboard. It can be a heck of a lot more of a strain on a typical bass driver than E 1. Adjust the EQ accordingly.

Many "decent" PA bins that have recieved severe beatings with guitar driven rock and survived, have been damaged with synth patches that have sub harmonic content on purpose, or just low frequencies in general.

Just be careful, and if possible watch the cone for the signs of over-excursion and/or exess movement which indicates going lower than Fs.
