Can I use the effects loop send to record with a mixer?

I have a fender bassman 150 combo, and I was wondering if I can use the send of the effects loop to send my signal to record? Up until now I had been using a crappy mic.

Use the xlr out on your amp

is there an xlr out on that amp? If not, you can use a 1/4" to xlr cable from the effects send to the board. Just beware that it may introduce some noise.

I do have an XLR out, but I don't have any cables. I guess I will have to put in another order at bayou cables.
