not realy a bass thread, but... just finish work, showered, now sitting drinking a ice cold bud, playing blues and grooving along on me bass, ahhhh sometimes life is sweet if only for a little while.. what you all up too?
sorry new to this place yeah, I stopped drinking proper a few years ago, after many a year hanging on to the end of a bar, now buds all I can handle, I will hang my head in shame :scowl: still it has a nice clean taste, better than a heavy and half
Hey, its the mods you'll be appologising to Dont worry, ive not drank for almost 2 years now (yeah . . . im 19, your point it ) Never was a big lager fan, or a heavy fan, ales all the way, cant beat a good IPA
Amen to that, the very reason I stopped drinking, got family in scotland, perth, love it up there. even the odd heavy or IPA. when in rome! going up next summer, if there is such a thing can't wait.
Well, here's to ya - I'm having a glass of wine at the moment... I practiced for about 4 hours today, including learning 6 or 7 new songs my band is probably going to play... Then, I tweaked the action on my favorite bass a little, and it's just playing fantastic... I got a freshly built 15" 8 ohm Black Widow for one of my cabs this week, and in the next week or so will be adding a 410, and an AEB to my gear... I'd say life could be worse... - georgestrings
nice? clean? I think bud tastes like it would if I were to mix some dirt in with swamp water, there are far better tasting beers without the heavy alcohol content or heaviness in the stomach some beers will have. Personally I am a huge fan of belgian beers or any nice pilsner will always be better than that nastiness
gah, German beer is what you have to drink if you want the good stuff! Tried the stuff when I lived oversea's (heh, I was 12 back then when my mom let me try it ^^). I love to kick back in my recliner, watch some TV, and just make up riffs in different keys for fun. It always amuses me, and it's good practice. Greg
Nice, thats about 20 minutes away from where i stay You gotta check out Inveralmond brewerey, http://www.inveralmond-brewery.co.uk/ Damned nice stuff, the guy in charge there drinks in my pub (well the one i work in ) all the time A friend of mine was over at some belgian beer convention or something, they had a beer that was 33%!!! Also, Duvel is a nive belgian lager
German beer...bah. I was surprised how light most German beer is. I went to Stuttgart in March for a couple shows, and I drank the native beer while I was there, and while it tasted good, the alcohol content was about the same as a Bud. Dave Edmunds' drummer was from Sweden and he brought beer from Sweden because he said German beer was "p***water." Hard to argue. On the bright side, though, I drank way more beer in Germany in those two days than I have in the last two years, and I never got a hangover, even though I did get fairly sloppy drunk.
I'm a fan of a good Larger myself.Local beer here is sweet.Kinsale Larger.Miller and Heineken are good alternatives though.
random fact- Beer and Larger (lager?) aren't the same thing. The brewing process for each of them are a tad different casusing them to havr to use different names. I don't think people can tell a difference though. Greg
To me, lager isnt a beer, but most people class lager as a beer, to me ales are beers Difference : Ales are top fermented and Lagers are bottom fermented + True largers have to be largered, which means they have to be stored for at least a month or 6 weeks (cant remember which)
Well i haven't tasted as many beers as you have during my short life but for me macfarland is the best... Beer made in my country (Greece) is worse than piss but at least it is cheap
