Can MarkBass Move Earth?

+1 for markbass cabs. I have been using the 15 and 2 by 10 traveller cabs in anger for several years. Together these cabs move plenty of earth for me. Lightweight, portable and very reliable.

I agree with this as well. I pair them with the discontinued Markbass F1 head.

Hey...
I'm playing in an Alice in Chains type original band and want to get a sound like Dug Pinnick of King's X.

I've been thinking about getting a MarkBass 810 cab and their Preamp along with a Crown XTI 1000 watt amp.

Does anyone with MarkBass experience KNOW if you can get that thunderous bass out of a MarkBass amp and 810 cab?

Who knows... if we play larger stages, I may want two 810's.

My thing is I want to stay away from the old and always used. Geez... EVERYONE and their brother plays Ampeg in this type of band! I don't want everyone else's sound!!

Greenboy Dually, more sensitive than an SVT 810 while being smaller and lighter.

This guy isn't too far away and could give you more detail.

Markbass uses neodymium magnets to reduce weight in their cabs. They use Italian poplar for the enclosure construction.

My experience with this company has been awesome.

FTR I play the Jeff Berlin combo with NY151 extension cab. 500 watts/2 15s- moves my earth.

Yah, I played a Jeff Berlin combo at GC and was amazed. But I tried other MB heads and cabs there (all small) and was not too amazed. Especially that Randy tube amp. Yuck!

But I liked the sound of the little mark 800, though their 800 watts would not be enough for me. So I thought I should get their Studio preamp and stick a Crown or Crest under it in the rack.

I like the looks of an 810 cab and even more so the look of two 810's are sweet! Stack 'em on their sides and a wall of 16 speakers is comforting! :D

Have you ever compared a Carvin with the Ampeg? I wonder the difference... really.

EDIT: Actually I just looked on the Carvin site and it looks like they no longer make the 810 cabs. At least I cannot find them.

I've never used ampeg... always been a peavey guy... then I heard my buddies rig... Carvin b2000 and br810.... I was sold... I got my cab used from GC online for 450 shipped
