I've recorded my Musicman Stingray direct, going into a Raven Labs DI with my ADA MB-1's compressor coming in through the effect loop on the Raven, turned to about 50% wet. From the Raven, straight to the board through an XLR. Got the best recorded tone I've ever had this way...
I don't even use the ADA when performing, but that's only for logistical reasons - I prefer a combo to the stack these days..
