Saw this on C.L., looks like a really low price for an American Precision. It's causing a real internal battle with G.A.S. As I ask myself do I really need two bass guitars?
Does this look like the real thing to you?

All the Fender MIA's I've seen have it marked on the front of the headstock, usually under the Fender logo. The headstock just looks too plain to me.

I have three American Fenders with the truss rod adjustment at the headstock.

Thanks for your replies, it seemed too good to be true. I think your right about MIM. Do the MIM Basses always have an MZxxxxxxx serial number? I didn't see a serial number on the headstock.
I didn't check on the amp, are the PF350's not made in the good ole USA?
Of course you're right Basspraiser I need more than two basses. What was I thinking?

Oh yeah,including my Highway Ones, make that five American Fenders that I own with truss rod adjustments at the headstock.

Yeah, some of the earlier models (80s models for sure), and the first run of Highway Ones up until at least 2006 had the adjustment at the headstock.

MZ & MN are Mexi's . Another way to tell is if the truss rod access is wood or black plastic, plastic being used South of the border. The necks are actually rough made in the US then shipped to Mexico for final finishing.
