Can you buff a satin pickguard to gloss?

I went at it with 3m polish papers and it made a big difference. I did the 3, 2, then 1 micron. I might start again at a higher number and take it back down. It is much more shiny. I was hoping to get more gloss. I will likey try a drill pad and my colortone fine and swirl remover polishes.

I actually got the pickguard on a used bass I got, I couldn’t believe it was a spitfire until I took it off and saw the signature/date on back. Needless to say I’m going to put it on another bass!

Very cool looking pickguard. I'd reach out to the company. I can't believe they are $300.00!
