Can you help me identify these strings?

I like these strings, but what brand are they? How can I tell if they are steel or nickel? The cloth ends are red. The D and G are a darker red than the E and A.

GHS Boomers. Not sure if they're hex core or round core, though.

Funny the way the red silks are slightly mismatched.
