I plugged in a bass I've been putting together and no sound is coming out. I checked all the volumes, cables and battery related possibilities so now I'm down to the pre/pup possibilities.
There is a very very faint hiss coming from the speakers when I flip one of the switches but no sound from the strings being played. Does this mean the signal is still reaching the amp?
Here's the preamp--Link
And the pups--[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
I'm using a p/j combination, one is in series and the other in parallel. I have the two red wires soldered to the EQ board like the preamp diagram indicates along with one white wire because one of the pickups is in parallel. Could this be what's causing the problem?
I followed the pup instructions exactly as far as what wires should be paired or sent to ground but right now I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
