Can you recommend an Octave Up pedal?

Hi,
I'm taking more solos these days because our guitar player in our latin jazz band is not always available.
So I ended up stringing my bass EADBC that helps a lot, but I still want to add the octave above on some heads that I'm playing.
I don't have much experience with pedals. Currently I'm using a Zoom B2 for that but I'm only using the octave above and the delay in that pedal .Sounds OK but I am wondering if I'm not better off putting a small pedal board together. I currently own a Joyo delay pedal (cheap but it sounds good) and a EBS compressor. So I'll need a Octave box. that tracks well and does not sound harsh.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
And while we are at it, I might also want to get a bass chorus pedal. Preferably one that leaves the low end alone and just gives me some chorus on the top end. Is there such a thing?

POG2 has both octave up and a detune which i use as a chorus- catch is if you just want the chorus effect on your dry tone it will be on ALL of your signal so it will mush up the low end but if you want chorus on your octave up effect than you can do that. and heaps of other combinations of: plus 1 octave, plus 2 octave, -1 octave, -2 octave. Check it out it is a really versatle pedal and you can save 8 presets!

How about this one? Does anybody here know if they are good? It's a bit cheaper than the POG

There are three levels of the EHX POG - the original, the MicroPOG, and the NanoPOG. Less features as they get smaller and cheaper, naturally, and they do sound a little different, but all usable. I recently got a MicroPOG from a TBer and it tracks great. The octave up on it (and I assume on all of them) definitely sounds a bit "synthy" - I don't think there's an octave pedal in the world that doesn't - but it's definitely a usable tone, and will sound like a guitar if you overdrive it - it's what the Royal Blood guy uses. EHX also has the Pitchfork now which looks interesting and has some good reviews, might be worth checking out.

I've owned the Pog2, Micropog, and Pitchfork. The Pog2 is great, but it had too many features for my liking (simple is best for me). The Micropog is also great and I regrettably sold mine in a moment of stupidity. I'm now using the Pitchfork and I really like it. The octaves (up and down) sound great and it tracks really well. The octave up is kind of "bright" sounding, but that doesn't bother me. It also has a few other nice pitch shift settings (Perfect 5th, Minor 7th, detune, etc.). One little drawback I've noticed is that the PF will boost your signal if the blend knob is past noon. But maybe that's not a drawback for everyone.

Also, I use a TC Corona Chorus (the mini version is great too). With all the tone prints available for either pedal, I'd be shocked if you couldn't find a setting that worked for you.

I did a little searching on youtube and found a comparison of the Mooer Tender Octave Divider and the POG 2.
I just ordered the Mooer. I liked the sound better, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with it. I also got a Boss CEB 3 bass chorus.
I'm surprised there wasn't more activity on this post.TB is usually more active than that and I wanted to get a few more options.
maybe octavers aren't so popular in the bass world....
But thanks for the responses I did get!

please update the mooer club when you get it. Seems so much bad taste from earlier mooer octave 'failures' that you are the actual test pilot bassist.

The least harsh one I've used is the EHX Pitch Fork. It doesn't do split outputs and it only has a blend knob instead of separate wet/dry knobs, but it's way less chirpy than most of them. I'm not up on all of the newest latest and greatest in that category, but the Pitch Fork works for me.

I think you didn't get all that much response because a) there aren't many options out there and b) not a lot of people use them.

well i have been looking for the octaver for my board for a couple of years. I used to use the markbass supersynth octave part (which worked reasonably well but was a cumbersome solution as i did not use the synth part), now im using a old BOSS OC2 which is kinda ok, but tracking is glitchy and i lack the octave up. I was looking at getting a POG (perhaps a nano pog) but when i checked for more affordable alternatives the Mooer tender has turned up. I will likely order one this week, and will let you guys know what i think of it. From the guitar videos i have seen this thing works quite well, so ill be interrested in experiencing it first hand in the bass range.

For pitch shifting.... Pog2 , micro pog, nano pog, pitch fork, bass whammy. The hog pedals do some cool stuff but are massive and expensive, not really an option for me as I im playing with a pt mini these days. I have the nano pog. It's the only pog I've owned so I can't compare it to other pogs. I have owned the new bass whammy and it was cool but the nano pog is like 1/4 the size of the bass whammy and works nicely.

Chorus wise I use a boss ce-5. I think the trick with chorus is figuring out what you want. I like chorus to be pretty obvious without sounding whacky and out of tune. Some people like a more subtle chorus. Some folks actually like a chorus that gets really whacky sounding.

So I got my pedalboard together now. here's the order:
Mooer tender octaver,ebs multicomp, Boss CEB-3, Joyo Digital Delay.
I had a few issues , first with the Boss Chorus.I tested it with a 9V thriftstore 2.- special wallwart that worked with my EBS but with the boss it was really noisy. But the noise went away when i put it in my pedalboard which is powered by a 1Spot. The Mooer had different issue. Initially I had the compressor first in the chain, and the Mooer second. With that arrangement the Mooer would pop pretty loud when I turned it on or off. Now I put it in the beginning and it switches without any noise.
So now it's a really killer little pedalboard. I like Carles Benavent and Anthony Jackson and I'm able to get pretty close to those sounds( my playing is a ways off from that unfortunately) but I'm just loving the new possibilities. And the board is small enough that it fits into my gig bag.
