I used to love the Boston-Montreal rivalry. Honestly though, the last five years, the league has been pathetic letting the Bruins off the hook on so many dirty plays.
Well, it has stopped in Montreal, maybe 95%. But, you know, there are always jerks. Look at Ottawa, they have a whole building that houses all the jerk &^*&&-holes from every province in a green room and a red room
In most countries (excepting maybe France) if you make an attempt to speak the language, it's appreciated and encouraged. I've heard too many stories like this. It seems in Quebec you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Speak English, you don't get served or otherwise ignored, attempt high school French that was jammed down our throats here in the West and you're ignored at best, or ridiculed. I hope all of this nonsense stops as well. The last time the Grey Cup was held here the crowd booed the anthem when the French verse was sung. I remember looking down at the sidelines at the players (mostly from the U.S.) gazed up in the stands in disbelief. Ugly.
