So you want to slag his reputation because he has a total of 6 posts. Gotcha. And a total of 6 posts...

My point was simply he made the initial post and bailed. Others have had unanswered questions. It's also easy to make baseless accusations from the comfort of one's chair, right? Not sure what his post count has to do with it either.
It's pretty easy to call someone a liar from the comfort of your easy chair.

I'm simply saying if you're going to come on a public forum and bash a business people are going to have questions, and people did.So you want to slag his reputation because he has a total of 6 posts. Gotcha.
The lumber shortage is artificial if it exists at all. I don't buy that excuse for a second.

This is something I’ve wondered about for years prior to Covid
Years ago I had a warranty issue with one of my CS basses and started a thread here about it venting my frustration. Soon after I got an unsolicited PM from someone at Fender reaching out to me and working to ensure I was taken care of. I don’t know how often they pay attention to threads here or elsewhere but in my case things ended well. And when I got my bass back it was absolutely superb. All that’s to say maybe the OP has had a similar overture.Interesting thread.
The OP hasn’t posted again.

I don't understand why the Fender custom shop don't care about their customers or their reputation. After nearly 18 months of waiting and being straight up lied to by the custom shop I cancelled my order this week.
It was just a 63 Precision bass with a roasted body and a roasted maple neck painted lake placid blue.
It should have been so easy... I have purchased well over $25,000 dollars of custom shop basses and amps from music stores in the past and figured I would get something special but not anymore. They lied when after 8 months they said it would be ready in ten days, then 4 months later they said the neck had a problem and it would be another 30 days... then 3 months later they said the body was bad... So I finally cancelled the order. The music store I was dealing with was lied to as well and they will no longer be carrying custom shop stuff. I will get it done with a local boutique guitar builder instead.
Thanks for the rant....
I have just been through this with MJT I ordered a body in January should have been ready March, no communication unless I contacted them, then the body arrives totally checked I ordered it clean unaged, they offered to change it if I paid all the transport, in the end I gave up and kept it NEVER order from MJT
I ordered my 60th Anniversary Jazz bass (pictured) and waited about 4 months, and when it came in, the pickups were both wired to the bridge pickup pot. I knew by the sound that they were both on at 100%, but still, my first stacked-knob Jazz and to experience that? Dog-doo of the highest order! Nonetheless, I just re-wired the neck pickup to the neck pick-up pot and she now sings like a bird.I don't understand why the Fender custom shop don't care about their customers or their reputation. I just bought a G&L fallout bass in olympic White. Wow what a bass. So much better than Fenders. Also I think Squires are really good, the fretting is always great and the Indian Laurel they're using on the fingerboards is beautiful.Sorry to hear that !!! Maybe a Sadowsky, Lull, or G&L may lessen the pain. Hopefully you find something that makes you just as happy !
