I changed my alert settings to not receive alerts on new posts to watched threads, and this has stopped the new alerts, but I can't get rid of the previous alerts I had received prior to that. I followed the instructions someone had posted to click through the alert to the thread and the log out and log back in, but the alerts are still there. This is particularly bad on the iPhone app, where it takes you immediately to your alerts, so I keep seeing the same alerts over and over. Does anyone have a solution?
