Can't find replacement pickup for Squier CV Mustang Bass

HI, this is my first post. Because of neck and hand issues, I had to sell my Jazz Bass and buy a Squier Mustang Bass last year. I like the Mustang Bass playability but the pickups leave something to be desired.

So, I want higher output pickups. But, I can't find a pickup that fits!! It is because the Squier CV Mustang Bass pickups are slightly smaller than standard Mustang pickups. I ordered True Custom Shop ones, love that company, but they didn't fit.

Anybody got any ideas? I don't want to cut the current pickguard to accommodate a larger pickup, that's outside my skill set.

I put a set of Nordstrand NM4s in my CV Mustang. I think there's room to spare, but mine isn't constrained by a pickguard or the plastic pup covers. So, this might not help you.
