Can't get a response from G&L customer service...

I've always called BBE and asked for a G&L tech. They've given me the number every time. Every time I've called, I got a voicemail. I leave my name and number and get a call within a couple hours. I never tried the email route.

Back around 2003 2004, I thought I was going to need a new neck from G&L (turns out I didnt). It was a 1996 USA L2000. It wasnt a problem they said to just switch the neck. They told me to ship my neck and body to them and they would in turn send me my bass back with new neck. I do not remember the price, but it wasnt cheap. You are talking about a tribute bass?
That may be a different story. Best wishes!

I've never had a truss rod issue with any of the G&L's I've owned, which is quite a few.

But just for kicks I googled "G&L truss rod problem", and also googled the same for Fender, Lakland, Carvin, and EBMM. Found complaints about all except EBMM, with the most complaints being about Fender instruments, naturally.

I don't see where G&L is a big standout in this regard, and I suspect much of these complaints stem from either user error, or people repeating things they've read on various web forums.
I worked with a G&L distributor for a couple of years and we only ever had one bass with a bad neck, and another bass with DOA electronics.
Given the throughput of basses, I would think that's quite acceptable.
