Cap switch out for hofner Beatle bass

Was thinking about changing out the caps and maybe some other lil bits in my hofner b bass. Was wondering what were in the German basses and/or any other recommendations for a possibily improved sound.

My advice is to completely remove the controls panel, then make another one to fit the hole & drill it for *V/V/T wiring.

If it’s the Ignition model, the control panel is a circuit board and not discrete components, so difficult to mod without starting from scratch. If you do start from scratch, VVT makes sense.
