Double Bass Car Rental with a DB

Hi Room ,

Was wondering if anyone had experience with a VW UP or VW POLO ( assume new model) and a double bass , is it easy to fit 2 people and a bass into one of these ?

Shouldn't be a problem, the scroll and neck will come into the front compartment. I've had my bass in a new Mini Cooper, those are definitely smaller.

The Polo is a wee bit smaller than the Golf. In my 2012 Golf, the scroll comes up far enough that I have to raise my elbow a bit to be able to work the stick shifter, but not so much that it is interfering. I think you'll be just fine in the polo, but make sure you have something to prop up the neck a bit in case the scroll ends up on top of the shifter (like some rolled jackets or pillows or some such).

The UP looks to be a good bit smaller than the Polo. Try to get the Polo.
