  1. I was doing a little bit of practicing when I had to go take care of a problem. I left the music room and took care of the chore. I forgot I had left my amp on. It stayed on for 24 hrs. Before I remembered it. What kind of damage can I expect for being so careless?

Tube or solid state? Head or combo?
If it was solid state, probably nothing but a slightly higher electric bill.
Leaving a tube amp on will lower the life of your tubes.

It's worthless. I'll cover the shipping and you can send it to me. I'll recycle it for scrap metal and donate the proceeds to your favorite charity.
  5. It's a solid state Carvin. A B1000...head not a combo.

You wasted some of the Edison Juice, try not to next time.
  7. Agreed. We need to take these items off his hands. You take the amp. I'll take the bass. TB'ers pitching in to help each other. :D
  8. You can expect approximately the same amount of damage that six gigs would do.

It depends. Were you playing country or metal when you stopped playing?

The mutations will become noticeable soon.
First, there is dizziness and moderate nausea.
Then, the antlers and a third eye will erupt from your forehead and you will sprout a prehensile tail.
Your temperament will change from meek to homicidal as you grow to the height of a 3-story building.
Soon, all Mankind will prostrate themselves at your feet in abject, quivering terror.

    Other than that, no problem...

There will be a small bump in your electric bill. This is repairable by making your bill payment

  12. The Mojo will all settle to the bottom.
It might take a couple practice sessions to get it to properly re-form.

You know what would be nice?
If amps had a light near the on/off switch so we could tell if the amp was on.

Seriously though, I did this with my amp one night. Fell asleep after practicing a few new songs and didn’t notice...and the amp was two or three feet away!

I’m curious. Is this actually true? I didn’t think that a solid state amp that wasn’t passing any signal would have a dead draw, but now I’m not so sure.

    Canada, Eh!
On more than one occasion I have accidentally left my Carvin MB10 combo (essentially an MX250 head) on standby for days at a time... no harm done!

You have only done that once?!? Happens to me all time. Fortunately I don't have active basses or my battery bill would be yuge!
