Carin M67 vs Shure SM57

I haven't used the M67, but the sm57 is a classic.

If you're looking for a good mic at a great price, then try the GLS ES57 and/or 58 from Orange County Speaker repair ...... You can get three of the es57's for less than the price of a single SM57. We are finding in some apps, we like the GLS's better than the shure versions. My guitarist prefers the ES57 on his cabinet, and while the drummer prefers the SM on his snare, he prefers the ES's on his toms. LOL... believe it or not, with a touch of eq, I actually prefer the ES57 on his kick than I do the beta 52 (but only on his kick.... our previous drummers kick sounded better with the 52).

I don't have anything available here at the house with the 57 used for recording. We used it on the guitar and snare during our last session, and it sounded great.

There is just no better mic deal available. Cheap, durable, sound great...... there isn't much to dislike about these things.
