Hello guys!

The concert was just stunning. Carles sound is so unique, along with his playing style. Chick had three wonderful 'Flamenco' musicians with him (percussion, Carles, and flute), along with Tom Brecklien (not sure of the spelling) on drums. Quite frankly, as good of a drummer as Tom is, he seemed out of place in the group. Chick was definitely grooving on the Flamenco-oriented playing, and Tom just is not in that world.

Carles did a number of solo's... both within the band context, in a duet context with Chick, and also by himself.... just amazing.

I am not ordering the bass to copy Carles, although I do like his playing. My main bass influences are Steve Swallow and Colin Hodgkinson and the Barcelona bass should work well for the direction I want my playing to go in.

I really think the Barcelona will to the 'Steve Swallow' thing beautifully. Post a review when you get the bass!
