sounds like some lame art project from one of the many overated and super expensive art schools out here

Those who are panicking are a bunch of weenie drivers.
I don't know what to make of it, but if they've given it the name "Carmageddon," that means that it is 99.99% certain to be media hype.
I doubt it will be that bad, I'm betting lots of people will be going out of town before it happens and most will probably use the streets instead....even if that's not the case, I've never been bothered by traffic because I always give myself plenty of time and I'm listening to music everytime I drive anyway...
I don't think I've ever heard one single piece of news in my entire life, that I would feel comfortable linking thematically to Armageddon.
Finally, someone with sense. (Relic).
Everyone else minimizing it.
Armageddon, not quite. But a HUGE ****ing inconvenience to anyone who needs to travel, especially those who have to work.
And of course, those minimizing it have/do not drive major LA freeways.
My wife is cooking dinner tonight. I hope Im able to get home before it starts growing mold.
Oh, on the major inconvenience part, we're most definitely agreed.
I still think the headline is over-the-top, though. I'd like to say it's extraordinarily so, but sadly gross exaggeration seems to be the norm nowdays.
And of course, those minimizing it have/do not drive major LA freeways.

I live in Valley Village (Studio City) Average commute time is about 1:50 for 9.2 miles each way, or 18.4 total.
I used to drive in to work with my dad over the summers, and we would leave at 6:15am and there would be virtually NO cars on the road. Now you have to leave at that time, just to make it to work by 8am, if you are even a decent distance away.
The traffic is a major stresser for me....especially with texters making it even harder just to drive.
HAHAHA! You sound like me in a race thread....
Thank God I don't have to leave OC for any reason this weekend. I got out just in time!
You LA guys are invited to my house this weekend for dinner then. It's probably be quicker just to drive to NJ than to navigate LA!![]()
Do you do much driving in Los Angeles? These freeways are bad enough without a freeway closure.
