Carrot Polls

for now, but we are waiting for the sequel...

TB Episode VI, Revenge of the Carrots.

The story of how trolls learned of the carrots one true weakness, three letter nicknames such as NTB and JWC.

Indeed Eric, but, what is the TB community to do with technological advents such as qintars? Where are your beloved carrots now?

Ah, THAT, well, that is another story.

The names to which you refer are from a time many, many days after the end of the Troll Wars. Peace had been declared, and Talkbass once again flourished. All was good, and the discussion boards overflowed with talk of new basses, new music, and just how stupid drummers are.

It was during this time that a young bass player named JWC came to Talkbass. At first, he seemed like any other bass player, and was welcomed into our community. But we were decieved!! While he was not PHYSICALLY a Troll, his mind had been taken over. Ever since the end of the Troll Wars, the Trolls had been trying to bring about the downfall of Talkbass, but because of the carrots could not approach for very long. So they captured young JWC and altered his mind, so that he was under their control. And JWC began to sow the seeds of discord amoung our ranks. He also sowed Radishes, but that is not important to our story.

It was soon realized that JWC was not in complete control of his mind, and he was bannished from our presence. But the damage was done, and the Trolls felt victorious. So they have tried again many times to do the same thing. Zanderstarr, nickthebassist, even the Qintar have all been unwitting pawns in the Troll's plan to destroy our home.

This is why you must take great care in who you reply to here on Talkbass. For while some of us are true Talkbass citizens, it is quite possible that the person you talk to may be an enemy Troll in a cunning disguise!! A disguise so cunning, you could appoint to be professor of cunning at Oxford. So cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel.

So, BEWARE!!

Rock on
Eric

Carrots, the Qintar, pirate kitties, JWC, disgruntled pros, Eric Cameron's threads about his own incontinence, the epic divide between OT and the Lounge, the space race to 10,000 - we have had such a glorious past here in Talkbass OT.

I found this on the internet, and you know that everything there is true:

A few orange and green ruminations about life, death and vegetables from the Miner Institute, Chazy, New York

Nearly all sick people have eaten carrots, Obviously, the effects are cumulative.

An estimated 99.9 percent of all people who die from cancer have eaten carrots.

Another 99.9 percent of people involved in auto accidents ate carrots within 60 days before the accident.

Some 93.1 percent of juvenile delinquents come from homes where carrots are served frequently.

Among the people born in 1839 who later dined on carrots, there has been a 100 percent mortality rate.

All carrot eaters born between 1900 and 1910 have wrinkled skin, brittle bones, few teeth, and failing eyesight .. . if the perils of carrot consumption have not already caused their deaths.

Man, if carrots got you drunk, rabbits would be [messed] up!

Sorry, I can't read this much about carrots and not pay homage to Mr. Mitch Hedberg.

I too accepted the carrots as they were, as well as the Qintar. Now that I have been semi-enlightened, I am beginning to think that the best reason to become a supporting member is to be let in on the inside jokes. Where's my credit card, here I come! (I'm workin' on it).

In addition to that, if you become a supporting member you also get to see all of my posts signed by my full name instead of my initials...just like the old days. It's just one of the many ways I give back to TB.
