carved thunderbird

I am trying to find my husbands bass. It was a hand carved thunderbird. The front of the bass was carved with a thunderbird on it. There was a guitar done at the same time. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this bass? :help: This bass is from Vancouver Canada, my husband played with Danny Tripper.

here is a picture of the bass

still asking people if they will let us know if the bass has ever been seen. Now that so many of the muscians that he palyed with are gone he would like to have it back even more. Someone must have seen such a special bass. Please pass on some information to us before it is to late. :bassist:

Just a little more info that is Gibson Thunderbird '65-'69 what is now called the non reverse body shape. Set neck not neck through like the earlier ones. Hope you find the bass.

This Bass was carved by Tom Duquette in the 70's. It was played by Bono, Tripper's Bass player. I believe the bass was stolen by a band called Eli from California during a gig in Vancouver. If anybody has a better picture of it, Tom would like to have it for his records. He's here now and dictating this message.
Get in touch with me if you can email the link, our condolences.
Cheers,
The Duquettes
