carvin 810s

All I can tell you is their NEO 10” speakers are better than the non-NEO’s.

Your best bet, if you’re considering purchasing a Carvin 810 cab, is join their forum and start a topic there because most people buy Ampeg 810's around here.

I had a non-neo one about two years ago, and although the form-factor is great and the weight is perfect for such a big cab, it had the nastiest hump at around 400hz I ever heard. It was very difficult to EQ out.

I added internal damping material since only the back wall was padded. It helped but still didn't solve the problem.

I have an older Redline RL 810. I love it for outside venues. Used it indoors a few times, but it's overkill at that. I have several newer Carvin bass cabinets and a slew of the older Redline series. I still think they sound the best over the newer stuff. I have neo,and non neo cabs.
