Carvin b1500, which cabs

I've used my B1500 (and/or B500) into Sunn 2x15, Peavey 2x15, Traynor 6x10, Ampeg 8x10, Traynor 8x10, Schroeder 21012L and 1212R, and some Hartkes. Settings vary depending on the room and the band, but never vary too far from 12 o'clock. Always sounds great.

I have run mine through:

Carvin RL118
Avatar B212
Mesa RR 2X15
Mesa RR 1516BE
Mesa Powerhouse 2X15

Ran either solo, or in different combinations (many times at 2 ohms) without a problem, and all sounded good.

I run most of my controls around the noon position, with the drive at around 10-11 o'clock

Here's my main setup:

Those are two EV TL606 cabs with Eminence Kappalite 3015's.

Here's another:

That's a GK SBX410 cab, nice and punchy.

And finally:

That's a Carvin LSx1503 PA cab.

Cheers,

I've also just bought a b1500, and I'm wondering what cabs I could use to get the kickarse deep lows for reggae and dub while retaining some clarity. I like what I've read about the brx104neos, and I'd like to add another cab like a 115, 118 or 212, but I don't know which would be best or how necessary it'd be. I'm also looking at the Mesa powerhouse 1200.

I started a similar thread a few days ago before I decided to get the b1500, but although I got some helpful advice from it, it seems to have disappeared.

Because I'm admittedly still a noob when it comes to matching cabs with heads any help or suggestions for building a heavyweight rig will be greatly appreciated :)

I just got a new Carvin b-1500. Wow! This thing really has alot of power! I'm playing through an Avatar neo410,(4 ohm) It sounds great but I'd like to know what others with this head are using for cabs, & what settings.

Congrats on the B1500. They're excellent amps. I run mine through a Schroeder 610L. Everything but the sub bass is usually pretty close to 5. Sub bass I keep around 2.

With the Carvin it could easily power 2 810's amiright? I heard that was one of the promblems with the SVT 4 Pro and the reason for wanting to make an SVT 8 Pro? Anyone try 2 810's? or 2 215's? or 2 412's?

I quoted myself to show you the different cabs/combos of cabs I run with my B1500

The MOST common setup I use is the Mesa 2X15 with the Mesa 1516BE.

Amp runs at 2 ohms without breaking a sweat, and I have never had to turn it up over 1/4

But you only quoted one of the one's i was asking about ;)

But my b for missing what you said about running them together.

It must sound EPIC!
