Carvin BR615

I haven't heard that amp, but I do have the BRX112NEO combo which completely rocks. It's definitely made me a Carvin fan, but I'm sure you'll have no problem finding guys here who are crazy about the B series amps. I'd be interested to hear one of the new BR amps with the compressor/graphic EQ on board.

I suspect, based on my experience, that you won't find many people using the newest Carvin gear for maybe a year after release. So the only way to tell is to take advantage of that 10 day trial period...

I do not have the 615 but I do have the BR610. Obviously different speakers but the same power amp. I wrote a better review of it here and on the Carvin site but in a nutshell, it's got power, a fairly comprehensive EQ but the tone is very neutral. If you're looking for something that will amplify but not do much to alter your tone, it's terrific, but it doesn't have much of a "sound" of it's own. It fits in my trunk, but kind of bulky to carry around.
Overall, a decent amp, and you're probably not going to get anything better for the price, that's why I ended up with one.

well, after much consideration I've decided I'm going to buy one of these to try out. it seems to be the best bang for the buck after extensive research. there is no place to try it out before i try it so i'm hoping i like it. if not, i'll just return it. I'll report back once i get it and try it out. I'm anxious.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks

I just received my BX600 and BR410 cabinet and all I can say is WOW! The previous poster is correct, it is a REALLY clean amp that really brings out the characteristics of the bass you're playing, and that is exactly what I wanted. Hopefully the combo gives you the same great results!
