Hey, I was looking for a new bass and an used Carvin BB signature came up for 600 euros, I've also seen one in US for 450$. They look like an amazing jazz bass and I quite like the fact that they are neck-though but the low price kind of sets me off a bit, also I could't find any price refences on a new one.

Could anyone tell me what is their actual price and if it is good compared to its quality? Thanks guys!

Carvins sell used anywhere in that range. They are an excellent value and sell for less than what they very easily could cost.

"Good compared to its quality"? Is that like "high quality compared to it being good"?

It's a very nice instrument. Prices may be found - logically enough - at the Carvin website: www.carvin.com. Or since you're apparently in Europe, at the Carvinworld website: www.carvinworld.com. Regardless, a 10-second Google search would have gotten you there.

Regarding price, if $450US is not high enough, I suppose you could always try to talk the seller into accepting more...

I have two, a 4 and 6 string which I bought new a couple years ago. The 4 holer was about $1100 and the 6 was a little less than $1300 IIRC.

But the Bunnies are the same quality level as all the higher-end Carvin instruments, almost boutique-level, especially in the woodworking. Mine are impeccable quality and have exactly that Bunny Brunel sound you hear on all his latest recordings, interviews etc. The 6 string has a flatter, more "hi-fi" tone than the 4 which makes it sound _really_ nice for smoother, fast stuff.

For $450 you can't do any better IMO. I wouldn't be put off by the price because Carvin in general has super super low resale (partly because they don't cost much new either).

The price of 450.00 was a very good price, I was looking at a BB with hardshell fitted case on E-bay this week that went for 700.00 shipped.
