Carvin bx250 repair?

Ok well I haven't been on here for a while now and I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread but.. I got this head a few years ago worked great. But one day I went to go turn it on and I'm getting very little voltage, the light will illuminate very faint and cut out and light up again. I also hear a relay click while this goes on. I sourced a schematic for the head but I'm not by it now to isolate the problem. Now what should I do to go about this I'm not terrible with electrical circuitry to repair it. But I'm not sure where to get parts and if anyone has suggestions on what the problem is or know where to get parts let me know thank you!!

well there seems to be high resistance somewhere.. but enough to surge through the system its weird

I'm in jersey I contacted them and they said service would be 225/hr kinda pricey for a head that costs about that

If the SMPS detects a fault in itself or in the amp modules it won't pass self test and will shut down. It operates differently than a line frequency power supply.

IIRC Carvin replaces some of their amplifiers for a standard charge. I'm betting that the $225 charge is for sending you a new unit.

But the amp does not shut down, its acts like it wants to turn but just doesnt want to fully turn on

Bart from carvin said flat rate charge is 225 and didn't mention a replace charge

$250 is correct.

IMO an amp that cheap + high cost of repair => scrap. After all, these are "utility" 1-year-warranty amps, not GB or GK or Fender or Aquilar or Hartke.
