Carvin PA speakers??

Carvin are great for the price. If you research the culmination of the fEarful enclosures, you will find that (at one point in time, at least) some of their PA cabs made for decent bass cabs as well, such as the LS1503.
I was in a group once that had an all carvin pa setup. I was floored by it. Great projection & transparency. I recommend them! We had massive sub boxes with 2x12 towers on top on each side of the stage. Four wedges & two power amps with a mixer. Really great setup. Can't say enough good things.
One of my bands uses 15" Carvins, new set. They are used in a 5 piece setting and in my jazz guitar duet setting. Great for the gigs we do that are smaller.
The company that did sound for my old band used 2 Carvin dual 18" subs and 2 15" 3 ways on top. Great setup. The Carvin DCM power amps are also good IMO.
i have a pair of 3 way mains by carvin.
often use these as FOH and really like them.
mine are older and the 15"s have been replaced with
eminence kappa pro 15" lf drivers. everything comes through nice and clear.
the electronic piano sounds crystal clear and not unlike a regular piano,
the drums thump nicely and nothing sounds muddy or distorted.

We tri-amp a pair of 1503's teamed with Yorkville subs. I've had a couple of glitches but probably stemming from operator-error on my part. Overall, the band has been very satisfied but we could use a couple extra enclosures for the larger venues. IIRC, the 1503's run ~$250 which makes them an attractive value for those on a budget.
I'd be interested in finding something that may be a step-up from the 1503's without spending an arm and a leg. DIY builds are out of the question as we have collective time and resource constraints.
