Carvin PB5

With all the talk about the PB5 no one has really convinced me to buy one.All I've read has been negative...especially about the electronics. I REALLY want one but I don't want to get stuck with something I have to send back for repairs. Has anyone had good success with their PB5?

That's weird, I've only read good things about the PB5. I'm a fan of this review:

I’m enjoying mine. P/J setup. I just got mine used. I’ve played 2 gigs on it. The pickups are a tad tinny with tone @ 100% for my taste. Fret noise being the issue for me. But with tone @ 50% and treble rolled back slightly, this bass really plays. Very versatile for the price. It cuts in a mix, but isn’t overbearing.
