My Icon5 is my first 5er so I can't really compare it to others but I will say the B is quite useable. Does it have more flop than the E? sure but I play on it all the time with no trouble. I wish it could be a tad tighter but it may just be par for the course on a 34" scale.
BTW- I have a 5 piece assym. wide neck- love the profile and string spacing- same as a 4 string. I can't really see how this neck wouldn't stand the test of time. I have the stock soapbars (but wanna try than H50A stacked buckers to see if they have more punch). The soaps are super smooth though if that's your thing.
